Microsoft has officially launched 3-year subscription terms for several Microsoft 365 products through the Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) program.
This change, announced May 1 and effective as of June 1, brings CSP offerings closer in structure to traditional Enterprise Agreements (EAs), giving customers more flexibility and predictability in long-term planning.
Organizations can now purchase 3-year terms for the following Microsoft 365 products through CSP:
These subscriptions are priced the same as current annual terms and offer two payment options: annual billing or full upfront payment. This allows businesses to align licensing with their financial strategy—whether that’s predictable OpEx or CapEx planning.
Previously, CSP subscriptions were limited to monthly or annual terms. With the introduction of 3-year terms, CSP partners can now offer the same long-term pricing stability that was once exclusive to EAs. This is especially valuable for organizations looking to lock in pricing, plan multi-year projects, or simplify procurement cycles.
To support the launch, Microsoft is offering a 10% discount for new customers purchasing Microsoft 365 E3 or E5 3-year subscriptions. This promotion is available for a limited time and applies only to customers who have not previously subscribed to these products.
With the introduction of 3-year terms in CSP, Microsoft is giving organizations more flexibility and predictability in how they plan and manage their licensing. As additional products and promotions roll out—especially around the start of Microsoft’s fiscal year—this is a key time to evaluate your licensing strategy.
